Cari Uesugi & Diane Grace
Hawaiian Spirit Box ~ Balance Your Life with Intention

Cari Uesugi Diane Grace

Age 16 and over are welcome.
$3 material fee paid to presenter at the workshop

Workshop for women only

Sometimes when life gets out of balance, you need to stop for a moment and realign yourselves with your true intentions. Enrich your life, explore your creative spirit and inner wisdom as you learn to listen more closely to your intuitive nature, so the path you walk is less stressful. Eliminate your Opala, (rubbish) review your unique life, and identify all the hats you wear. You will design a circle of balance, take action to live with intention, and create a Native Hawaiian spirit box, which reflects a deeper awareness of your hopes, dreams, and aspirations. Begin the journey of discovery, healing, and growth by celebrating your unique spirit through active arts.

Diane Kamaolipua Grace shares her genuine love and knowledge of the Native Hawaiian culture through her work as a life coach, speaker, workshop facilitator, and ordained minister. Her “talk story” style of coaching has been successful in helping women through life’s challenges and empowering them to reach their fullest potential. As a life consultant, personal development speaker, and creative workshop facilitator.

Cari Uesugi finds joy in assisting you to explore your potential, rejuvenate your spirit, and strengthen your intuition. In her experiential workshops, she shares how to create a balanced life, communicate with compassion, attain your heart’s desire, and nurture your creative self.

Monday AM: Dawn Dickson End of Life Midwifery & The Sacred Art of Dying

January 25th, 2012

This workshop is being held 9:00 AM – NOON on Monday, February 20th

Dawn Dickson
End of Life Midwifery & The Sacred Art of Dying

Workshop for women only

Dawn Dickson

Women have been present helpers and healers at birth and death for centuries. Over time, we have become divorced from the caring and rituals of one of life’s great mysteries: the dying process. We will create sacred space and explore women’s history as midwives at end of life, cross-cultural and shamanic approaches to the dying process. We will look at death practices in America, and the spiritual impoverishment evident in end-of-life care in this culture. Rituals and exercises – ceremonial hand washing, anointing ceremony and sacred songs and chants – throughout the presentation will offer examples for end of life care so we may reclaim our places as midwives to the dying and honor the dead. Bring a journal and writing utensil.

Dawn Dickson, LICSW has been involved in the exploration of the inner landscape and cross-cultural healing practices for 20 years. She is an instructor for the Sacred Circles Institute and an initiate in the Q’ero tradition of Andean shamanism. She facilitates women’s retreats focused on depth psychology, empowerment, and the circle as a transformative principle and holds retreats for cancer patients focused on mindfulness and the healing properties of nature. She is a graduate of the Metta Institute’s End-of-life Care Practitioner Program and holds a Masters Degree in clinical social work from the University of Washington. Dawn provides counseling to individuals facing life-threatening illnesses. She embraces the notion that life is mythic and encourages others to look inward for truth and healing. www.dawndickson.net/
